Chai Tea Gingerbread Cookies



Ingredients
  • 2.5 cup Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Chai tea
  • 2 teaspoon Ground ginger
  • 1.5 teaspoon Cinnnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda and salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1/2 cup Molasses

1. Stir together flour, ginger, cinnamon, tea, soda and salt.

2. In another bowl cream sugar and butter together and add egg and molasses. Blend well.

3. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour in the molasses mixture. Mix as much as you can with a spoon and then knead with your hands until smooth and of uniform colour.

4. Cut the dough into four pieces and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate pieces for 30 minutes or until cooled and firm.

5. Roll out dough, one piece at a time between sheets of waxed paper

6. Cut out any shapes you want with a cookie cutter on the dough.

7. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes until edges are darker brown at 350F
