Spice Bread

Ingredients

  • 100 gram Rye
  • 50 gram Flour
  • 20 gram Beet Sugar
  • 100 gram Honey
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 10 gram Grape seed oil
  • 50 milligram Soymilk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
  • 1 piece Apricot, figs, pumpkin seeds

Preparation Method


1. Sift flour and baking powder. Mix with rye.

2. Whisk an egg, loosen honey, grape seed oil, and beet sugar in a bowl. Add soymilk and mix well.

3. Add (1) (flour mixture), cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in (2), folding with big strokes.
If you have, add some citrus, like some orange peel.

4. Pour dough into a loaf pan. Drop the pan from a couple of centimeters above the table to remove air.

5. Bake at 170 °C for 20 minutes, and then 150 °C for 10 minutes. Poke the dough with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, the dough is ready.

6. When the dough has cooled such that it is no longer hot to the touch, spread honey, and decorate with apricot, figs and pumpkin seeds
